In response to the growing economic crisis faced by our country and our State. The Rhode Island Soccer Association (RISA), Rhode Island's United States Soccer Federation Adult Affiliate announced today its FOOD SHARE PROGRAM.
This program initially funded by RISA will at the outset raise up to $3000.00 to help give FOOD SHARE grants to players and families in the Rhode Island Soccer community who have lost there jobs and or who face long-term unemployment. The Program announced by David Borts President of RISA will initially be funded by RISA and by contributions from players and teams in the Rhode Island Soccer Community.
Mr. Borts said, " We hope to have $100.00 "food share" vouchers beginning to go out to the RI soccer community by the end of May and continue this program further if the contribution level continues."
