The Rhode Island Soccer Association Executive Board has established a fund(see below) for funding teams and or leagues that are involved in out of state competitive events. If your team or League is interested please contact me ASAP.

A Motion was made to establish a line item for out of state grants with the initial funding to be $5,000.00 and not to exceed $6,000.00 with the purpose of funding in part or the full registration fee for any League’s team who is a member of RISA who is participating in an out-of-state tournament on a first come first serve basis with applications being reviewed after January 1st, 2009. Contingent on the Team receiving the grant is responsible for 100% reimbursement to RISA if they d o not attended and participate in the event. The Motion was seconded. Discussion was held. The Motion was voted on and PASSED by a voice without dissent.
